DFW AKA Chapters Founders' Day

The DFW AKA Founders’ Day celebration is a collaboration of four local AKA chapters. At the event, members of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. celebrate the legacy of the sorority's founding on January 15, 1908. This day reflects and affirms a commitment to scholarship, service, and sisterhood.
Founders' Day celebrations strengthen sisterly bonds, honors members' years of service, and engages the community service and outreach, fostering pride in the sorority's century-long impact.

 The DFW Founders’ Day event is a celebratory occasion that recognizes the long-term service of each local chapter’s members. Member service milestones acknowledged during the event include – Diamond  members with 75 years of membership; Pearl members with 65 years of membership; Golden members with 50 years of membership; and Silver members with 25 years of membership.

Focused on service to all mankind, its core values include scholarship, sisterhood, and promoting unity and friendship among college women while actively working to improve the lives of girls and women through advocacy and community engagement.
